Clan Name Q's

I am trying very hard to find out more about my family, my grandfather died well before I was born, my grandmother said he was straight of the boat from Ireland or scotland, now my sister si trying to say he was Polosh..of all things, I don't know how one could confuse those accents. In any case a fine gentelman looked up my family's last name TUttle and said it was an Irish clan name- Clodagh Clan- I was hoping to get more information.
