origin of name

My husband's family is from County Cork. Several of his eldest uncles and aunt were born their and then the family emigrated to the U.S (approximately in 1920s. The last name is Glavin....can't find it in searches? Can you help? We are planning a trip to Ireland in 2010. Thanks.
