Edward Bain

Looking for info on Edward, father to William Bain (1847-1876). Whilst William lived in 'Little Ireland' in Chorlton Upon Medlock in Manchester I strongly think there is an Irish background. Any information on the Bain family moving across from Ireland to Manchester appreciated.
