Sheridan - is there any pagan history?

I know that this sounds kind of odd, considering that the Surname of Sheridan can be associated with the church, but does anyone know of any pagan Sheridans? The only reason why I ask is because my maiden name is Sheridan and, though I've always been drawn to the Irish heritage, I have had a great pull to the old religions. If anyone has any information, please let me know.
