Peter T. Mccabe I am looking for information on my g.g. grandfather who came from Armagh Ireland. He emigrated to the US from Liverpool in 1892 on the USS Brittanic. Peter was born in 1872 but I have no information about his parents or siblings. He married Mary Whalen who is also from Ireland. Alissa I suppose it is unlikely that this was your grandfather's, but I have an old Arabic-English dictionary, and on the side, in beautiful penmanship, it says Peter T. McCabe. I was google searching to see who this might be when I came across your post. The dictionary is from 1958, so your great grandfather would have been in his eighties...
Then again, it's not impossible. My g.grandfather lived to be 106 and read and spoke several languages. Anyway, I wrote just in case the Arabic connection means anything. Best of luck, Molly Molly |
