Welsh Aristocracy

Further to this ive copieyd this entry from another site:

It is often the case that decendents of such families modulate there sirnames to reflect their lineage and is prevlent in many such families. Look at your examples:

E.g. Anna Kingston (Ireland) b.1966 (decended from 3rd Earl of Kingston) Wales: Leighton Kingston b.1969 (lineage: 4th Earl of Kingston/Viscount Kingsborough); Wales: Alister Kingston b.1978 (lineage: 4th Earl of Kingston/Viscount Kingsborough); England: Lady Lavinia Kingston-Scott b. 1979 (by marriage:lineage: 4th Earl of Kingston/Viscount Kingsborough)

The title is Earl of Kingston but they've changed surnames to reflect lineage instead of keeping the family surname. Try tracing back through the sensuses to see where the changes where made recentley,

This might help
