Whalin In Ireland My ancestors came from Waterford County Ireland. But I have been told that they did not change the spelling of ther name Whalin from Whelan or Phelan.
Patrick Whalin Is my ancestor born 1737. Whalin there is no other origin in Ireland for Whalin other than Whelan/ Ó Faoláin, so they must have changed.
